Coconut Fibre is a 100% natural substance processed from the outer fibres of a coconut shell.  It is similar in consistency to peat moss, though is not nearly as dusty and breaks down slower for longer lasting, cleaner results.

  Coconut fibre is also environmentally friendly!  Unlike peat moss, it's closest comparative product, coconuts are a quickly renewable resource and can be harvested without damaging natural ecosystems. 

  This product is ideally suited for humidity requiring reptiles and/or incubating eggs, both on its own or mixed with Coconut Husk Chips or other similar products.  It is also a fantastic growing medium for tropical plants and other horticultural uses.  It is also weed seed and pathogen free!

  The compressed volumes of fibre are easily expanded with the addition of only water!  Instructions for use are included on the package label.

BRICK - approx. 1 litre compressed, expands to over 8 litres! (1/3 cu ft.)
BALE - aprox. 1/2 cubic foot compressed, expands to over 70 litres! (2.5 cu ft.)

  This product is made from the outer husk that surrounds the coconut.  It is chipped, washed and separated into different sizes before being compressed and packaged. 

  Coconut Husk Chips  are a fantastic alternative to other hardwood mulches that can have sharp splinters and can also be difficult to locate a safe variety.  Once expanded and moistened, the husk chips are very soft retain water far better than any other mulch type substrate we have ever used.  We now use medium sized chips in substitution for cypress mulch throughout our collection.

FINE - less than 1/4" sized chips.
SMALL - 1/4"-1/2" sized chips.
MEDIUM - 1/2"-3/4" sized chips.

  Unlike some inferior Sphagnum Moss available on the market, Chilean Sphagnum Moss has a reputation for being more soft, full, and durable than many other localities and also retains water longer!  This is truly the finest quality Sphagnum Moss we have ever come across!
